Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yoji Anjo Anjo (ranked 2569 p4p, 3256 weight class) and Fiya Patron (ranked 312 p4p, 380 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 39 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yoji Anjo Anjo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Fiya Patron!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patron darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Anjo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Patron sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Patron has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Anjo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Patron swivels and escapes.

Anjo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Anjo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Patron fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anjo manages to avoid it.

Patron connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Anjo looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Anjo needs to keep his hands up - Patron had a free shot at his head there.

and Patron counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Patron throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Anjo is looking to take a break and control but Patron is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Anjo stands up and beckons Patron to join him on the feet.
Fiya Patron is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Anjo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fight stays on the outside here - Anjo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Patron swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Anjo closes the distance and clinches.
Anjo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Patron's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Patron fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Anjo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Anjo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Patron, pushing him back against the cage.
Anjo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Patron fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Patron counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A solid leg kick lands there for Patron.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Anjo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Patron as he jumps to the side.
Patron lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Patron throws a hook to the side of Anjo's head but Anjo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anjo is defended easily by Patron.
Patron throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anjo is looking to clinch but Patron is avoiding it.
Patron looks for the body kick but Anjo saw that one coming.
Anjo changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Patron looks to score with a jab to the body but Anjo is just out of range.
Anjo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Patron but Patron pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Patron scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

As Patron backs away, Anjo returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Anjo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Patron takes a swing at Anjo's ribcage but misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anjo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Anjo is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Anjo closes the distance and clinches up with Patron, looking for a takedown. Anjo pushes Patron against the cage but Patron circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Anjo looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Fiya Patron is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Patron has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Anjo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Patron.

Fiya Patron comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Patron winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Fiya Patron rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
In defeat, Yoji Anjo Anjo stepped up to the mic, saying 'I feel good! '.
