Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Francois Bourbon (ranked 25278 p4p, 4493 weight class) and Jones Frykil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jones Frykil!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frykil wants to clinch
and Bourbon counters with a nice double leg into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Francois Bourbon will probably get the nod.

Bourbon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Frykil tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bourbon is in Frykil's guard.

Frykil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bourbon's guard.

Bourbon has decided that throwing punches whilst being mounted is the best he can manage just now.

Jones Frykil has got the better of the ground game so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
You can see the frustration on Bourbon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bourbon pushes Frykil away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Frykil gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Frykil decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bourbon to his feet.

Frykil has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bourbon doesn't defend quickly enough and Frykil has managed to lock this one up! Can Bourbon escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Frykil on a fantastic submission victory.
