Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darian Flynn (ranked 5161 p4p, 25479 weight class) and Manuel Barren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Darian Flynn has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darian Flynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manuel Barren! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flynn goes for a double leg but Barren avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barren continues to drive forward. A head punch on the inside from Flynn fails to land. Flynn is working for takedown but Barren is calmly controlling the position for now. Barren is trying to break the clinch but Flynn has him pressed against the cage. Barren looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Barren has Flynn pressed against the cage, preventing Flynn from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Barren is trying to force a seperation but Flynn has the dominant position. Flynn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Barren gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darian Flynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barren is trying to push Flynn away but Flynn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Barren jumps into guard, dragging Flynn to the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barren leaves Flynn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Barren lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Flynn misses with a takedown attempt - Barren sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Barren clinches.

Barren is pushing Flynn up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Barren has Flynn pressed against the cage, preventing Flynn from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Barren is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Flynn can't fight it off and eventually Barren manages to take the fight to the floor. Flynn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Flynn takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barren tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Flynn wants to control but Barren is having none of it. Barren looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barren looking to control and managing it successfully. Barren lands a big shot there that rocks Flynn but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Flynn throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Flynn tries to hold on but Barren postures up. Barren controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flynn tries to lock up and control but Barren gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Barren closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Flynn dodges the ground and pound from Barren. Barren decides to take the fight back to the feet. No joy there for Barren, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Barren content just to control the position here. Flynn tries to hold on but Barren pushes him away. Barren connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

And that's the end of the fight! Manuel Barren comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Barren has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
