Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kai Kataski (ranked 2789 p4p, 5068 weight class) and Andrew Mal (ranked 177 p4p, 250 weight class). Andrew Mal will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kataski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kataski lands in his opponent's guard.
Kataski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kataski passes Mal's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kataski works his way into full mount!

Kataski fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Mal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kataski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kataski lands a heavy elbow.

Kataski jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mal is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mal and Kataski has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kataski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kataski looks up at the clock and then as Mal takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kataski smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mal tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Kataski looking to isolate an arm here. Mal doesn't see it coming and as Kataski extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Kataski!
