Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Melaiko (ranked 4532 p4p, 5012 weight class) and Declan Sparks (ranked 456 p4p, 476 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Declan Sparks!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Melaiko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sparks won't allow Melaiko to get back to his feet.

Melaiko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sparks is one step ahead there.
Sparks wants to control from the top but Melaiko keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sparks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Melaiko sneaks out the side door and pushes Sparks away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Sparks shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Melaiko's guard.

Melaiko has his feet on Sparks's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Declan Sparks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
