Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Spagnolo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jermaine Pearson! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spagnolo thows a body kick. Pearson tries to catch it but that hurt him. Spagnolo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pearsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Spagnolo doesn't manage to clinch there - Pearson circles away.
Spagnolo tries to bum rush Pearson with a series of wild strikes but Pearson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pearson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Spagnolo moves into range and clinches up with Pearson. Spagnolo swings wildly with an uppercut but Pearson uses good head movement to avoid it. Pearson tries to stall but Spagnolo uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
