Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shin Otami (ranked 25443 p4p, 2735 weight class) and Kyoji Horiguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shin Otami had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Otami! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyoji Horiguchi! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horiguchi steps into range and cracks Otami with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Otami flops backwards and Horiguchi dives into his guard looking to finish!
Otami is rocked! Horiguchi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Oh Otami is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Otami thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Horiguchi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Otami seems to have got his legs back now. Horiguchi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Otami is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Otami looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Otami blocks a head kick by Horiguchi.
Horiguchi misses with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Horiguchi throws a head kick that misses. Horiguchi plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Otami really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Good leg kick by Horiguchi. Horiguchi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Otami doesn't seem bothered though. Horiguchi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Otami throws a quick counter head kick but Horiguchi was just out of range. Horiguchi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Otami is trying to defend but Horiguchi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Horiguchi is taking a breather. Otami says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horiguchi trying to pass the guard but Otami defending well. Still in half guard, Horiguchi seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Horiguchi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Otami with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Horiguchi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. It looks like Horiguchi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Horiguchi throws a leg kick which misses Otami's front leg but catches the back leg as Otami tries to avoid it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kyoji Horiguchi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Horiguchi lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Otami falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
