And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mordor Mettovaara!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mumba throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Mumba counters with a lovely straight right hand!

As Mumba backs off Mettovaara throws a huge counter combo but Mumba manages to avoid it all.

and Mettovaara counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mumba's knee momentarily.
Mumba takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mettovaara tries to clinch but Mumba is having none of it.

Mettovaara misses with a double jab
and Mumba counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mettovaara throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Mumba lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mettovaara circles away quickly and effectively.
Mumba scores with a decent looking hook.
Jab, jab by Mettovaara - just one landing.
Mettovaara is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Mumba throws an off balance right hand
and Mettovaara makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Mettovaara closes the distance and pushes Mumba back into the cage.

I was talking to Mumba's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Mumba tries to pull guard but Mettovaara forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mettovaara misses with some punches.
Mumba tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mumba is trying to pull guard but Mettovaara has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kwawi Mumba. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A nice right hand lands inside from Mettovaara.
A head punch on the inside from Mettovaara fails to land.
Mumba is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mettovaara to keep the fight standing.
Mumba blocks a body shot from Mettovaara.

Mettovaara lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mumba backwards.
Mumba fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mumba jumps guard but Mettovaara stands there with Mumba around his waist. Mumba gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mettovaara drops Mumba with a beautiful combination! Mumba stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mettovaara is looking for the KO!
Mumba is rocked!
Mumba misses the body punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Oh Mumba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mettovaara darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Mumba's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Mettovaara before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mordor Mettovaara!
