Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Webel (ranked 5158 p4p, 3023 weight class) and Kai Kixx (ranked 261 p4p, 194 weight class). Kai Kixx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Webel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kai Kixx! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kixx takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Kixx darts in looking for a takedown but Webel gets double underhooks and turns Kixx into the cage.
Kixx gets caught napping as Webel dives in and scores a takedown. Kixx manages to retain guard.
Kixx is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Webel is aware though and is defending well. Webel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Webel scoring with some ground and pound.
Webel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Webel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Webel postures up and lands a big shot to Kixx's brow. Kixx can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Webel controls the pace. Webel slips nicely into half guard. Webel lands strikes from half guard. Kixx trying to get back to full guard but Webel takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Webel lands with some strikes. Kixx looks winded!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Webel connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Webel stands up from mount. Strange move.
Webel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kixx tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Webel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Webel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kixx's face.
Webel wants to finish this one by submission but Kixx is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Webel. Webel controlling from mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Webel takes Kixx's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Kixx is in trouble. Webel is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Kixx is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Webel is persistently looking for the submission but Kixx is defending it well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Webel controlling the position well here. Kixx rolled but Webel kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Kixx looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Webel trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Kixx doesn't escape. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Trevor Webel dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Webel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Webel showed some decent athleticism there. Webel lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Webel landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Webel slips a nice elbow through Kixx's hands, connecting with Kixx's forehead.
Webel stands up from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Webel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Webel forces Kixx back against the cage and clinches.
Webel gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Kixx wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Webel manages to pass to side control. Kixx is breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Webel seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Webel throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kixx really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Webel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Webel is controlling the pace.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kixx actively working from the bottom here. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Webel in particular looking to stall.
Webel seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kixx is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
