Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Horton (ranked 1478 p4p, 1086 weight class) and Tian Long (ranked 185 p4p, 150 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Horton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tian Long!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Long's coach down at Sydney Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Long's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Horton lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Horton forces Long back against the cage and clinches.
Long tries to break the clinch but Horton is controlling the position.
Horton throws a punch but it's blocked by Long.
Horton softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Horton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Long. That did some damage!

Horton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Long counters with a nice right hand that sends Horton toppling to the canvas! Horton scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Long finish him?!

Donk. Horton catches Long right on the button with a cross.

Horton tries to land a front kick but Long steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Long is looking for the big counter here.

Horton pivots, looking for a leg kick but Long is out of range and Horton settles back down.

Horton's jab looks to have found its range, popping Long under the eye.
Long throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Long lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Horton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A nice leg kick from Horton, right into the meat of the thigh.
Horton seems to have got his legs back now.
Horton drops his hands for a split second and Long immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Horton face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Long follows up with a right hand that knocks Horton into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
