Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luis Sanchez (ranked 5270 p4p, 3422 weight class) and Matt Spanks (ranked 287 p4p, 224 weight class). Sanchez comes into the arena with Kodak Black - Super Gremlin blaring out of the sound system. Matt Spanks has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Spanks!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Sanchez both land. Nice combination.
Sanchez lands a really nice looking cross but Spanks seems unphased.
Spanks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanchez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Spanks gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spanks slows the pace down in half guard.
Spanks is working for a kimura but Sanchez is defending it quite comfortably.
Spanks moves into full mount! Sanchez won't be happy about that!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spanks goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sanchez is on top in guard.

Spanks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there.
Spanks is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Spanks pulls Sanchez in close to his closed guard and prevents Sanchez from doing any damage or advancing position.

Spanks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sanchez manages to get himself to full guard.

Spanks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sanchez can't keep his opponent in guard - Spanks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Spanks seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Spanks trying to work for an americana but Sanchez has managed to regain full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sanchez wants to stand and escape but Spanks is having none of it.
Spanks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sanchez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Matt Spanks has been cut.
Sanchez throws a series of punches but Spanks moves out of range.
Spanks clinches.
Sanchez is trying to break the clinch but Spanks is controlling him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Spanks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sanchez smiles and moves away.
Spanks shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Spanks showed some decent athleticism there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Luis Sanchez will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sanchez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spanks.
Spanks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Spanks gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Sanchez wants to get back to his feet.
Spanks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sanchez is just riding it out for now. Spanks eventually gives up the hold.
Spanks is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spanks is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sanchez is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
