Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Kernes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronald Murvis! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kernes lands a slapping body shot.
Murvis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Murvis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kernes. Kernes obviously looking to wear him down.
Kernes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Murvis circles away quickly and effectively. A left and a right from Kernes both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Ronald Murvis has been cut. Kernes with a hook. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Kernes. Jay Kernes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kernes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kernes throws a combination. Murvis tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Nice body punch from Murvis. Kernes is breathing heavily. Kernes gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Murvis.
It looks like Jay Kernes has been cut. A head kick misses from Murvis. Kernes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Murvis is looking to clinch. Murvis cracks Kernes with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kernes looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Murvis finish him?
Kernes leaves his chin hanging out and Murvis seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kernes crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
