Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Hatton (ranked 4084 p4p, 3619 weight class) and Chris Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Hatton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Bacon! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bacon blocks a head kick by Hatton.
Hatton ducks under a wild hook from Bacon. Hatton smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bacon scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hatton takes the fight into the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Bacon wants to get back to striking at distance but Hatton won't allow it.
Hatton prevents Bacon from breaking the clinch. Hatton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bacon has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Hatton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hatton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hatton moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hatton throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatton trying to control the position but Bacon is working away. Bacon tries to bench press Hatton off him but Hatton keeps the position. Bacon prevents Hatton from improving position. Bacon is trying to control Hatton's posture but Hatton avoids it. Hatton is looking to take a break and control but Bacon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hatton sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bacon is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bacon is looking for a sweep. Bacon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Bacon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Bacon prevents Hatton from improving his position. Bacon wants to take a breather but Hatton is having none of it. Bacon tries to pass to full mount but Hatton defends it. Bacon controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatton is in trouble now - Bacon has advanced to mount! Hatton is trying to reverse the position but instead Bacon has taken his back - oops! Hatton is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Hatton is trying to get back to his feet but Bacon has full control of the position and if anything, Hatton has just worked his way into a worse spot. Bacon controlling the position well here. Hatton rolled but Bacon kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
I really don't envy Hatton right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatton is working hard here to advance position. Hatton trying to control the position but Bacon manages to sink in the hooks. Bacon controls the action. Hatton can't escape the position.
Hatton trying to get back to his feet but Bacon is in full control for now. Bacon avoiding Hatton 's attempts to control his hands. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bacon is looking to control Hatton but Hatton is wriggling around and keeping busy. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris Bacon will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Bacon takes a swing at Hatton's ribcage but misses. Hatton throws a big counter combination but Bacon scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Hatton has closed the distance and engaged Bacon in a clinch.
Hatton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A swing and a miss from Bacon. Hatton looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A looping hook to the body misses from Bacon. Hatton does a little dance to reset his feet. Hatton clinches. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hatton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hatton has Bacon pressed against the cage, preventing Bacon from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Hatton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hatton closes the distance and pushes Bacon back into the cage. Bacon wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hatton is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bacon pulls him back up using the underhooks. Hatton fails to pull guard.
Bacon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hatton.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Hatton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hatton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bacon is stalling in the full guard. Hatton scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Hatton darts in and clinches Bacon up against the cage. Bacon misses with the head strike.
Hatton drags the fight down to the ground.
Bacon wants to pass the guard but Hatton is keeping the position. Bacon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bacon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatton tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bacon advances position into side control! Bacon slows the pace down. Bacon wants to control but Hatton is keeping him busy. Hatton is looking to regain half guard here but Bacon keeps moving and retains side control. Ricky Hatton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bacon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatton is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bacon happy to just control the position for now. Hatton is trying to control Bacon's posture but Bacon avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hatton being controlled for a moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice takedown defense from Bacon. No joy for Hatton on that attempt. Hatton misses the jab. Ricky Hatton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bacon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bacon misses with a looping right. Bacon connects with a jab. Bacon lands the left hand. Bacon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hatton was well out of range. Poor timing from Bacon. Bacon misses with a left hand and Hatton counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hatton. Bacon has control of Hatton's left arm, preventing Hatton from doing any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hatton stands and throws Bacon's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Hatton dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Hatton dives in for a single leg takedown but Bacon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A little jabbing left from Bacon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Hatton pulls guard successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hatton is not content to let Bacon control the position. Hatton seems a little lost for a moment, as Bacon dominates the positioning.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd cheers as Bacon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hatton doesn't seem phased though. A big left from Bacon misses. Hatton shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hatton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bacon. Chris Bacon seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bacon lands a jab to Hatton's midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hatton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bacon pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hatton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bacon looks to score with a jab to the body but Hatton is just out of range. Hatton throws a head kick that misses. Bacon throws a lazy uppercut
and Hatton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hatton tries to free his leg and advance position but Bacon is retaining full guard. Hatton is looking to pass into half guard but Bacon pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bacon is in guard. Hatton looking for a sweep. Not yet Hatton, not yet. Bacon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatton tries to land a sweep but no joy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hatton wants to stand but Bacon is controlling the position. Bacon passes Hatton's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Bacon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bacon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
