The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre misses with a series of wild punches.
Bruce doesn't manage to clinch there - Pierre circles away.
Pierre throws a shot from downtown. Bruce moves away and avoids it.
Pierre misses with a double jab.
Bruce throws a front kick that sends Pierre stumbling back into the cage.
Pierre is breathing heavily.
Bruce dives in and grabs Pierre 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pierre pushes down on Bruce's head and hops out.
Pierre throws a big counter combination but Bruce scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Pierre misses with a double jab.
Bruce looks like he wants to counter punch here.
No joy there for Bruce, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bruce lands a left and a right that send Pierre crashing to the mat, dazed. Bruce thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Jacques Pierre has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Bruce.

Bruce shoots in looking for a takedown. Pierre tries to sprawl out of it but Bruce keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pierre manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bruce will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pierre up against the cage.

Bruce throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bruce tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pierre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jacques Pierre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pierre bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Bruce moves away from the strike by Pierre .
Bruce lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Pierre looks to land a right hand but Bruce moved out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Come on Bruce - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Bruce has Pierre pressed against the cage, preventing Pierre from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Pierre throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pierre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bruce tries to close the distance and clinch but Pierre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bruce wants to clinch up but Pierre keeps it at a distance.
Pierre lands a slapping body shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Pierre ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pierre leaves Bruce with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bruce shoots in for a takedown but Pierre shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Pierre feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bruce sprawling to the canvas! Bruce rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pierre finish him?!

Bruce circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Pierre . Bruce falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Pierre !
