Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drake Lane (ranked 3315 p4p, 3353 weight class) and Nicholas Chase (ranked 388 p4p, 392 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drake Lane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nicholas Chase!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane tries to clinch but Chase moves out of range.
Lane looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lane moves in looking to clinch but Chase pushes him off.
Lane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Chase's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Chase's coach down at Dynamic MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chase's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lane gets through Chase's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Chase blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chase blocks an uppercut.
Lane makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lane clinches up against the cage.

Lane is looking to clinch but Chase is avoiding it.
Chase is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Lane with a body shot.

and Chase counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lane! Chase lets Lane back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Drake Lane has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lane moves in looking to clinch but Chase pushes him off.
Lane tries to clinch up but Chase circles away and keeps his distance.

and Chase counters with a crisp right that sends Lane to the canvas! Chase follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
