Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yu Liang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nacho Cheese!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Liang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cheese closes the distance but Liang moves to the side
and Liang counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Nacho Cheese has been cut.
Cheese throws a hook but Liang blocks it.
Liang was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Liang keeps the fight on the outside.
Liang is looking to counter punch.
Liang looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Liang on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cheese fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Liang looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cheese swings widly with a right hand
and Liang cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cheese clinches up against the cage.
Cheese lands a nice uppercut.
Liang's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Liang is trying to break the clinch but Cheese is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Liang tries to circle away but Cheese has him pinned against the cage.
Liang escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Liang on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Liang moves away from the strike by Cheese.
Liang was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Cheese dips to his left and cracks Liang with an uppercut!
Cheese uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cheese lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cheese creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Liang blocks an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Cheese.
Cheese keeps control of Liang as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Liang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cheese throws a leg kick
and Liang counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cheese drops Liang with a naaaaasty hook - Liang is in real trouble here! Cheese dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nacho Cheese!
