Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Karokaro (ranked 1016 p4p, 794 weight class) and Clive Hicks (ranked 131 p4p, 101 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Clive Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karokaro closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hicks lands a nice shot to the body.
Hicks with a poor takedown
and Karokaro counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Clive Hicks has been cut.
Hicks misses with a takedown attempt - Karokaro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Karokaro is looking for a counter combo.

and Karokaro counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Karokaro moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Karokaro throws a sloppy head kick and Hicks moves out of range easily.
Hicks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Karokaro manages to escape and get back to his feet!
A slow jab from Karokaro misses its intended target.
Clive Hicks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Karokaro walks into a left hand.
Hicks lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Karokaro lands a big head kick that sends Hicks tumbling to the mat! Karokaro takes a step backwards and waves Hicks back to his feet - he wants the finish!
A punch combination from Hicks misses.
Karokaro appears to be looking for a big counter.
Hicks has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hicks has his takedown stuffed
and Karokaro counters with a series of strikes. Hicks will be more careful next time no doubt.

Roberto Karokaro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clive Hicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hicks shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Karokaro counters with a crisp right that sends Hicks to the canvas! Karokaro follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
