Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Winters (ranked 2130 p4p, 3486 weight class) and Rufus Palmer (ranked 246 p4p, 375 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antoine Winters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Palmer! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winters takes a body punch but keeps moving. No joy there for Palmer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rufus Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Winters cracks a nice hook into Palmer's ribs. Palmer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Winters. Winters throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Palmer to counter with a crisp jab. Winters takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Palmer loads up on a big right hand but Winters slips the punch. Winters misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Palmer counters with a stiff right hand. Palmer slips under a jab from Winters. Winters connects with a crisp jab. Palmer throws an overhand right that lands on Winters's shoulder, as Winters tries to avoid the shot. Winters connects with a good right hand that stumbles Palmer. No joy there for Winters, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Winters looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Palmer swings and misses with a hook to the body.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Winters might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. And that's the end of the fight! Rufus Palmer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Palmer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
