Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Light Weight Jones (ranked 1841 p4p, 1915 weight class) and Matt Bond (ranked 195 p4p, 202 weight class). Matt Bond has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Light Weight Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Light Weight Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Bond!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones checks the leg kick.
Bond throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Bond only half commits.
Jones swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Bond fights it but they end up in guard.
Bond looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bond looking to control but Jones passes into half guard.
Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bond defends it well.
Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bond is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bond is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Bond lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bond feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bond sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jones walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bond.
Bond tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bond blocks a body shot from Jones.
Bond blocks the elbow strike.
Bond avoids the elbow strike from Jones, against the cage.
Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bond to keep the fight standing.
Jones throws an elbow but it misses.
Jones misses with an elbow over the top.
Jones throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Bond has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jones uses from the top position.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bond works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bond working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.

Bond is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.
Jones wants to get up but he can't break Bond's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Bond had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.

Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Bond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bond is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jones wants to control from the top but Bond keeps moving.
Bond has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.
Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones distracts Bond with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jones scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bond is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.
Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bond's guard.
Bond keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bond has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Jones is looking to defend but Bond has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Jones! Bond pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Jones taps out and this one is all over!
