Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cooper Hayden!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayden misses with a takedown attempt
and Tavares cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hayden looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Tavares does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hayden showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tavares.
Hayden wants to counter the offense by Tavares and move into the clinch position.
Hayden takes one to the side of the head.
Hayden walks into a jab.
Tavares tries a head kick but it misses.
Hayden steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Tavares.
Tavares scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tavares lands with an uppercut that bounces Hayden off the cage and back into range.
Tavares misses the shot to the body.
Tavares tests Hayden's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hayden is rocked!
Tavares lands a jab to the head.
Hayden is still on wobbly legs! Can Tavares finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tavares lands a nice hook to Hayden's body. Hayden takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hayden glances at the clock... BAM! Tavares nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Hayden crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Hayden is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
