Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Juan (ranked 3840 p4p, 4677 weight class) and Dimitry Ankalaev (ranked 417 p4p, 467 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Juan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitry Ankalaev! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and William Gold.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juan blocks a head kick by Ankalaev.
Juan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ankalaev is looking for a sweep. Juan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Juan wants to free his trapped foot but Ankalaev is holding on for dear life with his legs. Juan blocks the strikes from Ankalaev.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ankalaev is looking to improve his position.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Juan is looking to advance position but Ankalaev won't allow it. Ankalaev wants to control but Juan is keeping busy.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Juan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Juan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. As Juan backs off Ankalaev throws a huge counter combo but Juan manages to avoid it all.
Ankalaev moves into the clinch. Juan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ankalaev is defending well for now. Ankalaev tries to break the clinch but Juan is controlling the position. Ankalaev misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Juan.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Ankalaev tries to pull guard but Juan won't allow it.
Juan is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ankalaev is keeping busy. Ankalaev tries a body shot but Juan blocks it.
Ankalaev tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Juan avoids it. Ankalaev tries to break free but Juan pushes him back against the cage. Ankalaev wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Juan has him pressed against the cage. Juan tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ankalaev looks to land a combination but Juan avoids it well. Ankalaev throws a sloppy head kick and Juan moves out of range easily.

Juan is breathing heavily. Ankalaev wants to stand but Juan has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Ankalaev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Juan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Juan landing rabbit punches to the side of Ankalaev's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Ankalaev is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Juan defends it well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Juan scores with a few weak punches.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ankalaev is trying to control the action in half guard but Juan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Juan closes the distance and clinches up with Ankalaev, looking for a takedown. Juan pushes Ankalaev against the cage but Ankalaev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ankalaev shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ankalaev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Juan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ankalaev is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Juan has managed to free his arm - good work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dimitry Ankalaev will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Juan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ankalaev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ankalaev drives through with a takedown into Juan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Ankalaev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Juan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Juan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ankalaev postures up in Juan's guard and throws a big left but Juan blocks it.
Ankalaev stands up from Juan's guard - Ankalaev perhaps looking for a knockout. Juan tries to clinch but Ankalaev is having none of it. Ankalaev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ankalaev gets in close and instigates a clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ankalaev wants to break free but Juan has control.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Juan stopping the sweep attempt from Ankalaev. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ankalaev trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Ankalaev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Don Juan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ankalaev controls Juan momentarily but Juan frees himself.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Juan. Juan avoiding damage as Ankalaev throws knees to the body.

Ankalaev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ankalaev fails with a takedown attempt. Juan is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Ankalaev. Don Juan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dimitry Ankalaev.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Juan is looking to clinch but Ankalaev is avoiding it.
Juan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ankalaev is fending him off so far but Juan persists. Nope, Ankalaev circles away and we're back to standing. Ankalaev dives in and grabs Juan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Juan pushes down on Ankalaev's head and hops out. Ankalaev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Juan tries to keep at a distance but Ankalaev has taken the fight into the clinch. Juan is defending well against a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Juan is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ankalaev is keeping busy.
Ankalaev tightens his grip and picks Juan up, before dumping him to the ground. Juan manages to land in guard.
Juan kicks Ankalaev off and gets to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Dimitry Ankalaev will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Juan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Ankalaev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Juan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ankalaev jumps guard and drags Juan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Juan trying to control the position from guard on top but Ankalaev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ankalaev lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Juan pulls Ankalaev in close to his closed guard and prevents Ankalaev from doing any damage or advancing position. Juan keeping moving, preventing Ankalaev from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Don Juan showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ankalaev has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
