Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Spong (ranked 23175 p4p, 2135 weight class) and Keiki Misahawa (ranked 0 p4p, 231 weight class). Spong comes to the cage accompanied by In Loving Memory. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerome Spong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Keiki Misahawa! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spong on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Jerome Spong has been cut. Nice shot lands for Spong. Spong looks to throw the jab but Misahawa is out of range. It seemed like Misahawa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Misahawa slips under a jab from Spong. Spong misses with a hook
and Misahawa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jerome Spong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice body punch from Spong. We've been told by Spong's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Misahawa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Misahawa tries to counter with a clinch but Spong shakes him off and moves away. A shot to the liver by Spong. Beautiful body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spong throws a looping overhand right but Misahawa ducks down to avoid it. Misahawa is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Spong with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Misahawa throws a hook to the side of Spong's head but Spong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Spong misses with a body shot
and Misahawa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Misahawa misses the shot to the body. Spong has closed the distance and engaged Misahawa in a clinch.
Spong tries to break the clinch but Misahawa is controlling the position. Nice elbow from Misahawa. Misahawa lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Misahawa misses with a hook to the ribs.
Misahawa lands a nice uppercut. Misahawa tries a body shot but Spong blocks it.
Misahawa tries to throw a body punch but Spong avoids it by throwing Misahawa back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spong stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Spong blocks an elbow strike. Misahawa creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Misahawa pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Spong stalling in the clinch.

Spong lands a big uppercut and Misahawa crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Misahawa looks OK. Spong waves Misahawa back to his feet!

It looks like Keiki Misahawa has been cut. Spong closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Misahawa out cold! Misahawa corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jerome Spong! In his post fight interview, Jerome Spong started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
