Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jossa Rugsveen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kent Clark!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Clark avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rugsveen has Clark up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Rugsveen tries for a takedown. No joy.
Clark tries to circle away but Rugsveen has him pinned against the cage.
Rugsveen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Clark prevents it.

Rugsveen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rugsveen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Clark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rugsveen is one step ahead there.
Clark is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rugsveen is controlling him.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Clark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rugsveen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jossa Rugsveen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Clark moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Rugsveen looks for a takedown but Clark sprawls well.

Clark drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Clark closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Clark wants to get up but he can't break Rugsveen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Clark wants to stand and escape but instead Rugsveen has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Clark takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rugsveen looking to control but Clark is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Clark is looking to get to half guard.

Rugsveen can't control as he wanted to and Clark manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Clark pushes Rugsveen off looking to stand but Rugsveen dives back in and keeps control.

I would just about give that final round to Kent Clark.
