Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mikuru Asakura (ranked 2374 p4p, 2505 weight class) and Jackson Jones (ranked 201 p4p, 212 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikuru Asakura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Jones! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asakura shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Jones misses with a hook
and Asakura counters with a nice uppercut. Jones thuds his right hand into Asakura's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Asakura takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Asakura with a jab. Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Asakura on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jones misses with a looping left. Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing. Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones lands a jab.

Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Asakura's hands. Jones is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Asakura had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Asakura takes a jab on the nose there.  That's four minutes gone in the round. Donk. Jones catches Asakura right on the button with a cross. Asakura steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones. Asakura throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones. Jones loads up on a big right hand but Asakura slips the punch. Asakura swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Asakura doesn't seem phased though. Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Asakura takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Nice straight punches there by Asakura. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Asakura. Asakura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Asakura was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Jones throws a combination that misses
and Asakura counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones trying to control here.
Asakura throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Jones dominated that round. That's time! Asakura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Jones in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Jones misses with a lunging right hand

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jab from Jones. Asakura staying out of range there. Asakura throws a counter high kick but Jones was just alert enough to avoid it. Nice cross by Jones. Asakura on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jones's jab looks to have found its range, popping Asakura under the eye. Jones misses with a hook. Asakura moves out of range of the strikes. Asakura looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Asakura ducks right into an uppercut from Jones. Jones misses with a right hand and Asakura counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Jones gets caught napping as Asakura dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard. Asakura trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
 Jackson Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jones prevents Asakura from improving his position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Asakura is not content to let Jones control the position. Asakura looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Jones wants to stand up but Asakura has a hold of him and won't allow it. Asakura is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jones throwing shots but Asakura is blocking nicely. Jones works his way into full mount! Asakura slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Asakura is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Asakura avoid being mounted? Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jones looks to land a right hand but Asakura moved out of range. An attempted straight right counter from Asakura misses the target. Mikuru Asakura has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones throws a lazy right hand but Asakura sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Asakura walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Asakura. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones connects with a single shot there. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Asakura. Asakura is looking to counter with head kicks.
And that's the end of the fight! Jackson Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
