PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Carrillo (ranked 3549 p4p, 1682 weight class) and Andreas Burns (ranked 414 p4p, 221 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jordan Carrillo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jordan Carrillo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andreas Burns!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrillo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Burns counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Carrillo moves in looking to clinch but Burns pushes him off.
Burns scores with a jab to the body.
Carrillo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Andreas Burns has been cut.
Carrillo throws a poor cross that misses
and Carrillo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Carrillo throws a jab but it's blocked by Burns.
Burns slips under a jab from Carrillo.
Carrillo misses with an uppercut
and Burns cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carrillo misses with a looping right.
Burns looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Burns manages to break the clinch.
Burns ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Carrillo scores with a body shot.
Carrillo scores with the left hand. Burns knows he should have avoided that one.
Carrillo looks to land a left hand but Burns moved out of range nicely.
A jab lands there for Carrillo.
Carrillo closes the distance looking to clinch
and Burns counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Burns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carrillo was well out of range. Poor timing from Burns.
Carrillo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Burns avoids the body shot from Carrillo.
Burns doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Carrillo misses the shot to the body.
Burns misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carrillo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Burns avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Carrillo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Burns jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Burns is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Carrillo rather than just go for the knockout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Carrillo. Burns does a little dance to reset his feet.
Burns appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Carrillo thuds his right hand into Burns's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

and Burns counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Burns throws a jab but it's blocked by Carrillo.

Carrillo throws a lazy right hand but Burns sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Carrillo moves out of range of the strikes.
Jordan Carrillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns staying out of range there.
A little jabbing left from Burns on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Carrillo misses with a right hand
and Burns counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burns displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carrillo throws out the jab.
Burns looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Carrillo throws an overhand right that lands on Burns's shoulder, as Burns tries to avoid the shot.
Burns uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carrillo.
Carrillo throws a big shot that misses.
Burns misses with a looping left.
Carrillo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Burns counters with a one-two to the body.
Burns throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carrillo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Andreas Burns's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Carrillo tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Burns counter with a right hand.

Carrillo lands a big right hand that sends Burns crashing to the mat! Carrillo stays standing though and waves Burns back to his feet!

Burns is rocked!
Burns ducks into an uppercut from Carrillo and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jordan Carrillo!
Jordan Carrillo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
