Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brenden Mcmillan (ranked 3439 p4p, 2827 weight class) and Xavier Rice (ranked 126 p4p, 116 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brenden Mcmillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Rice!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rice shoots and misses
and Mcmillan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rice walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Xavier Rice has been cut.
A jab from Mcmillan finds it's way through Rice's defenses.

Mcmillan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rice misses with an uppercut. Mcmillan saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rice misses the shot to the body.
Mcmillan misses with a hook to the body
and Rice counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mcmillan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rice manages to avoid it.
Rice is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Mcmillan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rice tries to score a body lock takedown but Mcmillan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mcmillan blocks a body shot from Rice.
Rice fails to pull guard.
Brenden Mcmillan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Rice.
Rice drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mcmillan lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A body shot lands from Rice.
Mcmillan blocks an uppercut.
Rice fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rice fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rice jumps guard but Mcmillan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Rice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rice shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcmillan sprawls well. Mcmillan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rice gets slowly back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rice loads up on a big right hand but Mcmillan slips the punch.
Mcmillan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Rice misses with a left hand
enabling Mcmillan to counter with a crisp jab.
Mcmillan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rices jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rice.
Mcmillan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Mcmillan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rice looks to land a combination but Mcmillan avoids it well.
Mcmillan throws a hook but Rice blocks it.
Rice is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Rice dives in and grabs Mcmillan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mcmillan pushes down on Rice's head and hops out.
Rice throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mcmillan.
Rice misses with a body shot
and Mcmillan counters with a stiff right hand.

Mcmillan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mcmillan showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rice wants to improve his position but Mcmillan is controlling well.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rice is in trouble now - Mcmillan has advanced to mount!
Rice keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
We've been informed that Rice has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcmillan looking to ground and pound but Rice is blocking nicely.

Mcmillan looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mcmillan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rice is looking to escape.
Rice bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Rice forces his way into half guard.
Mcmillan is controlling Rice's position as best he can from this difficult position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Brenden Mcmillan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Xavier Rice's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Mcmillan ducks under a wild hook from Rice.
Rice misses with an uppercut.
A shot to the liver by Mcmillan. Beautiful body shot.
Rice throws a hook but Mcmillan avoids it easily.
Mcmillan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rice.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rice dives in and scores a takedown into Mcmillan's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rice tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcmillan is retaining full guard.
Rice passes Mcmillan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rice passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mcmillan!

Rice moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mcmillan has worked his arm free - good work by Mcmillan!
Mcmillan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rice can do to turn this around?
Rice working away.
Rice advances to full mount.
Mcmillan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rice working the ground and pound effectively.
A nice elbow there by Rice.
Rice cracks Mcmillan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rice with shots to the head and body - Mcmillan looks very uncomfortable down there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rice looking to finish Mcmillan with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mcmillan!
Rice lands a heavy elbow.
Rice landing strikes from the mount.
Rice lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Rice looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Mcmillan covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xavier Rice!
