Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5247 p4p, 22598 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 130 - 30 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 140 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter B shoots in and gets a takedown into Fighter A's guard. Fighter A seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Fighter A utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fighter B throws a strike but Fighter A rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Fighter B is trying to keep Fighter A in close.
Fighter A showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fighter A shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fighter A showed some decent athleticism there. Fighter A throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B wants to control but Fighter A is keeping busy and won't allow it. Fighter A throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Fighter A prevents Fighter B from improving his position. Fighter A looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Fighter B trying to control but Fighter A postures up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fighter B gets full guard. Fighter B is trying to keep Fighter A in close.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fighter B fails with the takedown. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A head kick by Fighter A misses and Fighter B counters with a straight punch to the midsection. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fighter B feints and as Fighter A raises his hands in defense, Fighter B changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fighter A is controlling Fighter B's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A has control of Fighter B's left arm, preventing Fighter B from doing any damage. Fighter A preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Fighter A wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fighter B throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Fighter A counters with a single leg into guard. Fighter B didn't expect that. Fighter B looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Fighter B's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A won't allow Fighter B to sweep him here. Fighter B pulls Fighter A in close to his closed guard and prevents Fighter A from doing any damage or advancing position. Fighter B wants to stand up but Fighter A is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B is trying to control the position from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Fighter A pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fighter B is keeping the position for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fighter A slaps away a takedown attempt from Fighter B, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fighter A fires out a quick counter leg kick but Fighter B just manages to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fighter A bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fighter A working away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fighter A was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fighter B wants to control but Fighter A postures up. Fighter B is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Fighter B struggling a bit here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A controls the position. Fighter B wants to control but Fighter A postures up. Fighter A is staying tight to Fighter B's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fighter A closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fighter B to the mat! Fighter B manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter B lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Fighter A is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Fighter B throws a big elbow that misses. Fighter B throws an elbow that misses. Fighter A uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fighter B's guard. Nice move by Fighter A! Fighter B wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B controls Fighter A momentarily but Fighter A frees himself. Fighter B working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fighter A. Fighter A is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Fighter A is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter B holds on and takes a little breather.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fighter B working a defensive guard but Fighter A passes into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fighter A has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
