Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23299 p4p, 23252 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulata Bitok has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 50 - 70 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 77 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Bitok fails with the takedown
and Buktot counters with a nice body kick.
Buktot fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buktot misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And Bitok tries to counter it with a takedown but Buktot pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bitok tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Buktot defends well and Bitok ends up having to push Buktot into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Buktot is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bitok sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Despite the aggression on Bitok's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Buktot jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Bitok pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nice sprawl there from Buktot as Bitok shoots in.
Buktot throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bitok's waist but Bitok gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buktot off to one side.

As Buktot backs off Bitok throws a huge counter combo but Buktot manages to avoid it all.

Bitok shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Buktot is trying to defend but Bitok finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Buktot holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Buktot is trying to control but can't.
Buktot wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bitok in particular looking to stall.
Buktot tries to roll over but Bitok keeps him under control.

And Bitok responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time.

Bitok replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buktot blocks it well.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Bitok blocks it.
Bitok has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Buktot fails with a takedown attempt.

Bitok closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buktot quickly recovers to half guard.

Bitok is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Bitok slows the pace down in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bitok's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buktot is trying to maintain the position but Bitok is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bitok fails with a takedown attempt.
Buktot thinks about countering with a body kick.

Bitok closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Buktot did well to prevent Bitok getting side control.

Buktot kicks Bitok off and gets back to his feet.

Buktot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bitok thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Buktot is not content to let Bitok control the position.
Bitok happy to just control the position for now.

Buktot tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bitok wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Buktot dodges the ground and pound from Bitok.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Buktot is trying to control Bitok's posture but Bitok avoids it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bitok misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Bitok ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Buktot moves away.
Buktot jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kulata Bitok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bitok has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
