Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23244 p4p, 23261 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 47 - 66 - 13, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 66 - 56 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mibangon's guard. Mibangon is pulling down on Buut's head to control his posture. Buut sitting in guard here, content to control. Buut loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mibangon trying to control the position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Buut tries to free his leg and advance position but Mibangon is retaining full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buut shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mibangon counters with a nice body kick.
No luck for Mibangon with that takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mibangon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Buut's guard. Buut is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Mibangon throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Buut holds on and takes a little breather. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mibangon is stalling in the full guard. Buut looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mibangon controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buut wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Buut is defended easily by Mibangon. Mibangon feinted with a counter takedown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Buut shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mibangon but Mibangon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mibangon throws a quick counter kick to the body but Buut avoids it. Buut gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon works over Buut with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut seems keen to control Mibangon's posture. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mibangon stopping the sweep attempt from Buut. Mibangon content to stall in guard here. Buut is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Mibangon takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mibangon pinned against the cage. Mibangon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Mibangon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Buut. Mibangon is looking to counter with a body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mibangon delivers a nice body kick. Buut goes for a double leg but Mibangon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mibangon continues to drive forward. Mibangon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mibangon showed some decent athleticism there. Buut is trying to control but Mibangon manages to pass to mount!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that second round. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Buut looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mibangon is fending him off so far but Buut persists. Nope, Mibangon circles away and we're back to standing. Mibangon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck for Mibangon with that takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown attempt by Buut or perhaps it was just good defense by Mibangon, which made it look bad. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut stuffs the takedown attempt from Mibangon. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mibangon with a lazy takedown attempt and Buut counters with a nice body shot. Buut misses with a takedown attempt - Mibangon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mibangon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mibangon wants to control from the top but Buut keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mibangon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mibangon stopping the sweep attempt from Buut.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buut swivels and escapes.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Walay Buut. I think Buut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
