And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 50 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bjurstrom was well out of range. Poor timing from Anstey.
Bjurstrom went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Anstey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anstey looks to land a left hand but Bjurstrom moved out of range nicely.
Bjurstrom lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Bjurstrom scores with a nice strike.
Anstey blocks a head kick by Bjurstrom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bjurstrom's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Anstey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bjurstrom scrambles back to his feet.

Anstey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bjurstrom throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Anstey stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Anstey cracks Bjurstrom with a good jab.
Bjurstrom fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Anstey.
Bjurstrom looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bjurstrom lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Anstey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters circling - Anstey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bjurstrom scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Anstey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bjurstrom circles away quickly and effectively.
Bjurstrom throws a right hand that Anstey ducks under and follows up with a left that Anstey also avoids with ease.

and Bjurstrom makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bjurstrom keeps Anstey at a distance using the push kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bjurstrom has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bjurstrom there as he acknowledges the shot.
Anstey throws a series of punches but Bjurstrom avoids them all with ease.
Anstey takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A head kick misses from Bjurstrom.
As Bjurstrom backs off Anstey throws a huge counter combo but Bjurstrom manages to avoid it all.
Bjurstrom throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Anstey.
Bjurstrom throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Anstey sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bjurstrom lands with a kick to the temple. Anstey shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Anstey gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Bjurstrom moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Anstey is rocked!
Bjurstrom walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Anstey drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bjurstrom swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Anstey's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
