Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Butch Cassidy (ranked 2319 p4p, 24844 weight class) and Magomed Magomedsharipov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Butch Cassidy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 42 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Magomed Magomedsharipov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedsharipov shoots in but no luck this time.
Magomedsharipov shoots for a double leg takedown but Cassidy sprawls well. He's pushed Magomedsharipov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Cassidy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Butch Cassidy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magomed Magomedsharipov.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Magomedsharipov wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Cassidy's hips, looking to push off. But Cassidy grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Magomedsharipov screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
