Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Giles (ranked 25262 p4p, 4518 weight class) and Colt Mays (ranked 478 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Giles might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Beckham. Dustin Giles has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dustin Giles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Colt Mays! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mays connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Giles looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Giles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mays tries to avoid it but Giles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mays to the ground. Mays escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mays lands a jab. Mays misses with a two punch combination.
Giles definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. No joy there for Mays, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Giles throws a nice looking combination but Mays bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mays wants to counter with a clinch but Giles pushes him away. Mays throws a series of punches but Giles avoids them all with ease. Mays pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Giles back to the cage. Mays follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Mays lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Giles backs up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mays scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Giles takes one on the button. Mays fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Mays throws a right and a left that Giles avoids nicely.

Giles takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Dustin Giles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Giles on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Mays connects with the punch. Mays has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Giles takes a body punch but keeps moving. Mays works Giles's body with a nice hook. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mays takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Giles wants a takedown but no success here.

Colt Mays showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Mays punishes Giles's body with a nice straight punch. Colt Mays is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mays throws a series of punches but Giles moves out of range. Giles throws a big counter combination but Mays scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Giles on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Mays rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Giles moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mays scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Giles had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mays drives through and clinches with Giles against the cage.
