Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Okko Ukkonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Rendler!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rendler slips a jab and a cross from Ukkonen.
Rendler looks to land a combination. Ukkonen sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rendler stuffs the takedown attempt from Ukkonen. Ukkonen gets slowly back to his feet.
Rendler throws a right hand that Ukkonen ducks under and follows up with a left that Ukkonen also avoids with ease.
Ukkonen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Ukkonen.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ukkonen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rendler tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ukkonen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rendler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ukkonen.

Ukkonen is breathing heavily.
Rendler tries to improve position but can't.
Rendler is not content to let Ukkonen control the position.
Rendler manages to get back to half guard.
Rendler tries to get to full guard but Ukkonen has control of the leg.

Rendler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ukkonen is looking for a kimura but Rendler is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ukkonen to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rendler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ukkonen.
Ukkonen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rendler tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ukkonen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rendler gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rendler wants to improve his position but Ukkonen is controlling well.
Ukkonen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rendler keeps working.
Rendler gets full guard.
Rendler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ukkonen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ukkonen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ukkonen drops back looking for a leg! Rendler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rendler manages to kick Ukkonen off! Ukkonen jumps back into Rendler's guard.
Rendler has his foot on Ukkonen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ukkonen works his way back into a safe position though.
Ukkonen wants to control from the top but Rendler keeps moving.

Rendler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rendler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rendler working for a triangle but Ukkonen defends it easily.
Rendler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ukkonen is one step ahead there.
Ukkonen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rendler had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ukkonen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rendler Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ukkonen's back instead.
Ukkonen trying to control the hands but Rendler breaks the grip.
Rendler is striking well from the back but Ukkonen escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.
Ukkonen trying to hold on to Rendler's head to control him but Rendler postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack Rendler will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
No luck for Ukkonen with that takedown attempt.
Rendler connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ukkonen tries a head kick but it misses.
Ukkonen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ukkonen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rendler.
Horrible takedown by Ukkonen or perhaps it was just good defense by Rendler which made him look bad.
Ukkonen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Okko Ukkonen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rendler moves into the clinch.
Rendler is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ukkonen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ukkonen gets underhooks to prevent Rendler's takedown attempt.
Ukkonen tries to pull guard but Rendler won't allow it.
Rendler pulls Ukkonen into guard.
Rendler is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ukkonen has his hands clasped together but Rendler extends an breaks Ukkonen's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rendler.
