Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bai Li (ranked 1476 p4p, 2748 weight class) and Matthew Hudson (ranked 176 p4p, 299 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bai Li!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew Hudson!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurstr�m, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Li, pushing him back against the cage.
Li is trying to break free.
Hudson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Li's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hudson misses with a hook.
Li feinted with a counter takedown.
Hudson swings for the body but Li moves out of range.
Li takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Li uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hudson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hudson loads up on a big right hand but Li slips the punch.

Li wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hudson keeps working.

Li has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hudson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Li. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hudson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hudson can do anything to dispel that myth.
