Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thaddeus Matthews (ranked 4265 p4p, 4475 weight class) and John Taylor (ranked 361 p4p, 369 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Thaddeus Matthews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews looking to score a takedown here. Taylor is defending well but Matthews drives through and ends up in Taylor's guard.

Matthews got a little sloppy there for a moment and Taylor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Matthews has managed to get both his arms back between Taylor's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matthews has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Matthews connects with a nice short shot to Taylor's temple.

Taylor is working to avoid the ground and pound but Matthews connects with a decent elbow.

Matthews is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Taylor will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Taylor is trying to control Matthews's posture but Matthews avoids it.
Matthews knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Matthews scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Taylor is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Matthews can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
