Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maka Pili (ranked 2588 p4p, 5400 weight class) and Kysre Carter (ranked 317 p4p, 486 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kysre Carter enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kysre Carter!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Pili tries to counter with a takedown but Carter is quick to defend against it.

We've been hearing reports that Pili has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Maka Pili will probably get the nod.

Pili shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carter pinned against the cage. Carter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Carter stuffs the takedown attempt from Pili. Pili gets slowly back to his feet.
Carter cracks Pili with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd cheers as Carter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pili doesn't seem phased though.
Carter feints and then cracks Pili's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pili down.

Carter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pili feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pili. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
