Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Green gets caught flat footed, as Okoroji shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Okoroji tries to free his leg and advance position but Green is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green is looking to sweep but instead, Okoroji has passed into half guard.
Green felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Green tries to get to full guard but Okoroji has control of the leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Okoroji has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Okoroji looking to break Green's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Green remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Okoroji will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Green looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Okoroji tries to get the hooks in deep but Green pushed the leg off. Green tries to escape but Okoroji has the hooks in and won't let him break free. A bit of a pause in the action here. Okoroji controlling the positon.

Okoroji is really struggling to control Green but he's trying to hold on to the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Okoroji trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Green doesn't escape. Okoroji's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Green. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okoroji not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
