The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac throws the left hand but van den Berg avoids the punch easily.
van den Berg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mac circles away quickly and effectively.
Mac slips a straight right by van den Berg.
Mac shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. van den Berg defends it nicely.
Mac shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from van den Berg. No joy for Mac on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Mac. That's going to take a lot out of him.
van den Berg takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Mac fails with a takedown attempt.
Mac tries to clinch but van den Berg moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mac shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. van den Berg defends it nicely.
Mac moves forwards but van den Berg connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mac closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mac is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, van den Berg has managed to free his arm - good work.

van den Berg is looking for a sweep. Mac is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mac thows a huge punch but van den Berg dodges it nicely.

van den Berg would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Mac looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
van den Berg cracks Mac with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
van den Berg lands a slapping body shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
van den Berg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mac tries to avoid it but van den Berg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mac to the ground. Mac escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by van den Berg.
van den Berg goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
van den Berg misses with a double jab.

van den Berg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
van den Berg lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
van den Berg throws a nice inside leg kick.
van den Berg lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mac at a distance.
van den Berg scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Mac is rocked!
van den Berg shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Mac is on queer street and van den Berg is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
