Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Claudio Spineli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Coimbra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo Coimbra will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Spineli or perhaps it was just good defense by Coimbra which made him look bad.
Spineli doesn't manage to clinch there - Coimbra circles away.
Coimbra defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Spineli.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Spineli checks a leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spineli looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Claudio Spineli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spineli is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Spineli has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Coimbra is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Coimbra jumps guard and drags Spineli to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Spineli wants to stand but Coimbra has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Coimbra wants to stand but Spineli is controlling the position.

Hugo Coimbra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Coimbra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
