Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tatsura Onigawa (ranked 4139 p4p, 25027 weight class) and Xi Daerji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsura Onigawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onigawa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Daerji avoids it really well and circles away.
Onigawa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Daerji is in trouble now - Onigawa has advanced to mount!
Onigawa working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daerji wants to control but Onigawa is having none of it.
Onigawa fails to take his opponent's back.
Onigawa has control of Daerji's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Daerji regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Onigawa takes Daerji's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Daerji is in trouble.
Daerji is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Onigawa keeps control of the position as Daerji tries to break free.
Onigawa is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Daerji defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Onigawa's arms.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Onigawa is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Daerji is defending well though. Onigawa let's go of the attempt for now.

Onigawa looking to break Daerji's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Daerji remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Onigawa will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Onigawa is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Daerji with him. Daerji is trying to defend but Onigawa has an arm under the chin now! Daerji grimaces and is forced to tap out!
