Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Janis Saldejums!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saldejums misses with a head kick.
Flores wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Flores seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Flores dodges the punch combination from Saldejums.
Saldejums throws a combination that misses
and Flores counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Flores lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Saldejums on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Saldejums fails with the takedown
and Flores counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flores defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Saldejums.

Bernard Flores has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janis Saldejums.

Flores manages to break the clinch.
Saldejums closes the distance and clinches.
Flores prevents a takedown attempt there.
Saldejums tries to pull guard but Flores holds him up against the cage and eventually Saldejums drops back down to his feet.
Come on Flores - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Flores escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Saldejums throws a leg kick
and Flores counters with a nice right hand that sends Saldejums toppling to the canvas! Saldejums scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Flores finish him?!
It looks like Janis Saldejums has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saldejums gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Flores counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Saldejums looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flores ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Saldejums's jaw. Saldejums's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Flores does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bernard Flores!
