Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Malik Nelson (ranked 4099 p4p, 3688 weight class) and Jamari Golden (ranked 417 p4p, 393 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamari Golden!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a right and a left that Golden avoids nicely.
Nelson closes the distance and clinches.

Golden is pushing Nelson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Golden is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nelson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Golden to the mat. Golden regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nelson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Nelson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Golden shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nelson sprawls well. Nelson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Golden gets slowly back to his feet.
Nelson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Golden quickly recovers to half guard.
Nelson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Golden is still in real trouble! Can Nelson finish him?
Malik Nelson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nelson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Golden keeps working.

Nelson lands a big elbow - Golden is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Nelson!
