Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ben Boone (ranked 3441 p4p, 4133 weight class) and Salvatore Hardy (ranked 219 p4p, 258 weight class). Boone comes to the cage accompanied by Here Comes the Boom. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Salvatore Hardy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Boone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Salvatore Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boone was well out of range. Poor timing from Hardy.
Boone avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hardy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boone, pushing him back against the cage.
Boone takes a shot to the head.
Hardy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Boone.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ben Boone.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ben Boone decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
