Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Petr Slukowski (ranked 3893 p4p, 2924 weight class) and Dechlan Tomsett (ranked 349 p4p, 284 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Petr Slukowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dechlan Tomsett!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomsett misses with a wild combination.
Tomsett dives in for a single leg takedown but Slukowski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Slukowski takes one to the side of the head.
Tomsett swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Slukowski counters with a nice body shot.
Slukowski throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tomsett is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Tomsett throws a series of punches but Slukowski moves out of range.
Tomsett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slukowski.
Tomsett throws a right hand that Slukowski ducks under and follows up with a left that Slukowski also avoids with ease.
Slukowski looks to throw the jab but Tomsett is out of range.
Slukowski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tomsett stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Slukowski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tomsett moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tomsett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Slukowski lands a really nice looking cross but Tomsett seems unphased.

Tomsett fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Slukowski sprawls well initially but Tomsett persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tomsett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slukowski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Slukowski is looking for a sweep. Tomsett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Slukowski is refusing to be controlled, as Tomsett sits in half guard.
Slukowski tries to get to full guard but Tomsett has control of the leg.

Slukowski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tomsett pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tomsett is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Slukowski has managed to free his arm - good work.

Slukowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tomsett is working away from the top position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tomsett wants to control but Slukowski is keeping him busy.
Slukowski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tomsett's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tomsett's back!
Slukowski is not going to allow Tomsett to sit and survive in this position.

Slukowski is trying to stick to Tomsett's back but Tomsett is turning into Slukowski. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Slukowski's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Tomsett.

Slukowski has his foot on Tomsett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tomsett works his way back into a safe position though.

Slukowski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Tomsett wants to control from the top but Slukowski keeps moving.

That was a close round but I would say that Petr Slukowski will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looked like Slukowski was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slukowski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tomsett eats them both and turns towards Slukowski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Despite the aggression on Tomsett's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

It looked like Slukowski was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Tomsett.

and Slukowski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Slukowski lands a hook that stumbles Tomsett back into the cage. Slukowski follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Tomsett to the canvas! Slukowski pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Tomsett has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
