Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Blades (ranked 813 p4p, 1071 weight class) and Daniel Burton (ranked 87 p4p, 112 weight class). Blades's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Three 6 Mafia - It's a fight. Daniel Burton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo Blades! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Burton! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blades lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
 It looks like Daniel Burton has been cut. Burton misses the jab. Blades throws a counter high kick but Burton was just alert enough to avoid it. We've been told by Blades's head coaches at California Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Blades connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Burton's hands. Blades misses with a combination
and Burton counters with a three punch combo that has Blades backing up. Blades nods at Burton to acknowledge the strikes. A chopping leg kick lands by Blades. Blades closes the distance and lands a one-two. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Blades throws out the jab. Blades misses with a series of wild punches.
Burton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Burton throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Blades counters with a nice low kick that buckles Burton's knee momentarily. A big left from Blades misses. Burton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burton is defended easily by Blades. Blades uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Burton has time to react.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Blades misses with a straight left. Blades scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Blades missing with a left hand there. Burton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Burton is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. A decent looking cross lands there for Burton. Blades throws a series of strikes that have Burton backpedaling.

Burton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Blades staying out of range there. Pablo Blades is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Burton throws a hook but Blades avoids it easily. Blades scores with a shot to the body.
Blades has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Burton finds it's way round the side to connect with Blades's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Blades showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Burton.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Blades scores with a sloppy right hand. Burton should have avoided that one. Burton walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Burton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pablo Blades seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burton misses with a double jab.
Blades looks to throw the jab but Burton is out of range. Burton ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Burton swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Blades counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Burton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Burton scores with a jab to the body. Burton with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blades to score with a decent uppercut. Burton misses with a straight right.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Burton catches Blades with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Burton misses with an uppercut. Blades saw that one coming. Burton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Blades is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Blades throws a nice outside leg kick. Burton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Blades momentarily.
Blades lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burton circles away quickly and effectively. Burton ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Burton throws a right and a left that Blades avoids nicely. Blades throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blades moves out of range of the strikes. Burton closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Blades throws a leg kick that is checked and Blades takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burton throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Burton throws a nice looking combination but Blades bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Burton looks to land a right hand but Blades moved out of range. Blades appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Blades lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Blades avoids a punch combination nicely.
Blades throws a low kick, looking for Burton's leg but Burton calmly moves out of range. Blades lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Blades stuns Burton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Blades jabbing away but nothing is landing. Blades jabbing away but nothing is landing. Blades throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Burton stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Burton throws a hook but Blades avoids it easily. Blades tried to counter with a leg kick but Burton avoided it. Burton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Blades counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A looping hook to the body misses from Burton. Blades does a little dance to reset his feet. That kick from Blades tenderised Burton's leg. Burton is trying to keep his angry face on. Burton on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Burton sizes up Blades with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pablo Blades dominated that round. The cut man is working on Daniel Burton's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Blades fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Burton. Blades is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Burton can do to turn this around? Burton throws a lazy right hand but Blades sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Burton might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Blades has got the better of the exchanges. Good shot there by Blades. Blades slips a straight right by Burton. Burton scores with a three punch combo!

Blades scores with a crisp jab that stopped Burton in his tracks. Burton throws a jab when Blades was well out of range. Burton throws a hook but Blades avoids it easily. Blades connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Burton momentarily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blades throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Burton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Blades lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Pablo Blades is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blades turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Blades.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Burton fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blades looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Blades moves out of range of the strikes. Blades tried to score with a low kick but Burton checks it. Some wild striking there from Blades.

Blades throws a leg kick but Burton checks it. Burton feints the counter takedown. Good exchange - Burton coming out on top. Burton ducks under a wild hook from Blades. Burton throws a right and a left that Blades avoids nicely. Burton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Burton counters with a single leg into guard. Blades didn't expect that. Burton wants to control from the top but Blades keeps moving.
Burton has gone for a leg lock! Blades slips out almost immediately though and dives into Burton's guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burton trying to keep a closed guard but Blades is proving a slippery customer.

Burton is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Blades rolls with it to try and escape but Burton cranks on the arm and Blades is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
