Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hendri Sloof (ranked 3833 p4p, 3771 weight class) and Sean Baker (ranked 410 p4p, 0 weight class). Sloof comes to the cage accompanied by The Ecstasy of Gold - The Chill Loungers. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hendri Sloof! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Baker! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloof fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Baker moves into range and clinches up with Sloof. Sloof drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sloof drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Baker gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hendri Sloof. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sloof is looking to take this one to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sloof throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baker's waist but Baker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sloof off to one side. Baker has a takedown stuffed. Baker clinches. Sloof is looking for a takedown. Sloof pulls guard effortlessly. Baker's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sloof wants to sweep here but Baker controlling him for the moment. Baker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Baker closes the distance and clinches. Baker prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sloof changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Baker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Baker misses with an uppercut. Sloof changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Sloof takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Baker fails to land the takedown. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sloof has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Baker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Baker taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Baker tries to land knees in the clinch but Sloof avoids the damage to the body. Sloof tries to score a body lock takedown but Baker shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Baker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sloof.

Sloof jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Baker walks away with a smile on his face. Sloof gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Baker has Sloof up against the cage in a clinch.
Baker works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baker decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Sloof moves out of range as Baker throws a body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Baker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hendri Sloof's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Baker shoots for a double leg takedown but Sloof sprawls well. He's pushed Baker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Baker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sloof swivels and escapes. Sloof shoots in and drives through. Baker sprawls well. Sloof shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Baker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sloof's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Baker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sloof is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloof looking for a sweep but Baker has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Sloof tries to hold on but Baker postures up. Baker controlling from the full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sloof is trying desperately to improve position. Baker pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker landing shots from mount. Baker sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sloof tries to reverse the position but Baker maintains control. Sloof tries to control the position but Baker now has his back.
Baker is looking for the choke from the back position but Sloof is controlling his hands well. Sloof won't enjoy being in this position. Baker looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Sloof is tapping - it's over boys! Baker picks up the submission victory!
