Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Garcia (ranked 1166 p4p, 1841 weight class) and Geordi La Forge (ranked 112 p4p, 167 weight class). Garcia comes to the cage accompanied by "Can't Be Touched" av Roy Jones Jr. La Forge has chosen $UICIDEBOY$ - BURGUNDY as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Geordi La Forge has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Francisco Garcia!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geordi La Forge!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia darts in looking for a takedown but La Forge gets double underhooks and turns Garcia into the cage.

La Forge breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Garcia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Garcia moves out of range of the body kick from La Forge.
La Forge looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
La Forge has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from La Forge there as he acknowledges the shot.
La Forge uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia.
La Forge feints a counter leg kick.
Garcia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Garcia defending well as La Forge loads up on a big left hand.
La Forge throws a shot from downtown. Garcia moves away and avoids it.
Garcia avoids a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

La Forge tries to buck Garcia off but Garcia is having none of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
La Forge is not content to let Garcia control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garcia working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
La Forge is looking to reverse the position.
Garcia remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
La Forge can't do much from the bottom here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

La Forge is looking to reverse the position.

Garcia goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, La Forge rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Garcia's guard! Nice work there by La Forge!

Garcia wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
La Forge wants to control from the top but Garcia keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

La Forge avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
La Forge wants to pass the guard but Garcia is keeping the position.
Garcia wants to sweep here but La Forge controlling him for the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Francisco Garcia will probably get the nod.

Garcia works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Garcia is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
La Forge is looking for a sweep. Garcia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Garcia perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Garcia wants to pass to mount but La Forge is defending the position.
Garcia wants to control but La Forge is keeping him busy.

La Forge is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Garcia has latched onto it... Big trouble! Garcia pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it La Forge is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Garcia!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Francisco Garcia!
