Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jakobe Blankenship (ranked 24799 p4p, 3948 weight class) and Amit Francor (ranked 306 p4p, 256 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jakobe Blankenship! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Amit Francor! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Francor with a poor takedown
and Blankenship counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Blankenship. Blankenship is trying to drag Francor to the mat but Francor just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Francor manages to break the clinch.
Blankenship slips a jab and a cross from Francor.
Francor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blankenship closes the distance and clinches up with Francor, looking for a takedown. Blankenship pushes Francor against the cage but Francor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jakobe Blankenship. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blankenship avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Blankenship is looking to counter punch. Blankenship is looking to clinch.

and Blankenship counters with a left and a right that stings Francor. Francor throws a sloppy head kick and Blankenship moves out of range easily. Blankenship looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Francor finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Blankenship throws a big counter combination but Francor scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Francor tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Blankenship is able to avoid easily. It looked like Blankenship was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Blankenship avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Francor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Francor thows a leg kick but Blankenship checks it
and Blankenship counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Francor!
Francor explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Francor throws a sloppy head kick and Blankenship moves out of range easily. Francor throws a leg kick and Blankenship counters with a three punch combo that has Francor backing up. Francor nods at Blankenship to acknowledge the strikes. Blankenship fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Francor avoids it really well and circles away. Blankenship steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Francor. Francor throws the kick towards the body but Blankenship avoids it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Blankenship takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Blankenship looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Francor throws a hook but Blankenship avoids it easily. Blankenship went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Blankenship fails with a takedown attempt. Francor throws a head kick but Blankenship moves out of range.
Blankenship drops down looking for a counter takedown but Francor sprawls and moves away. The fight stays on the outside here - Blankenship looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Francor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Blankenship. That did some damage! Blankenship tries to score a power double leg takedown but Francor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blankenship somewhat.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Francor swats away the attempt to clinch by Blankenship. Nice takedown defense from Francor. No joy for Blankenship on that attempt. Francor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. As Francor looks to move away, Blankenship throws a big counter combo but Francor just gets out of the way. Francor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blankenship takes a jab right on the kisser.
We've been informed that Francor has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Blankenship keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Francor. Amit Francor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Francor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Francor scores with a shot to the body.
Francor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Blankenship swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Amit Francor dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Blankenship. Blankenship tries to clinch there but Francor circles away.
Francor thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Blankenship if he has to take too many more of those.
Francor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Francor wants it to stay on the feet. A leg kick checked by Blankenship. Francor throws a head kick but Blankenship moves out of range.

Francor moves into the clinch.
Francor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Francor tries to land a front kick but Blankenship steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. As Francor tries to get set, Blankenship tries to push him back and clinch up but Francor manages to avoid the attempt. Jakobe Blankenship is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blankenship shoots in looking for a takedown. Francor tries to sprawl out of it but Blankenship keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Francor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jakobe Blankenship. That's going to take a lot out of him. Francor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Blankenship seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Francor has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Blankenship checks a leg kick. Blankenship seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Blankenship shoots in looking for a takedown but Francor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Blankenship's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Francor is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Francor swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Blankenship. Francor lands a nice leg kick that just misses Blankenship's sensitive parts. Francor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Francor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Francor throws a lazy head kick and Blankenship counters with a series of strikes. Francor will be more careful next time no doubt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Blankenship goes for a double leg but Francor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Francor continues to drive forward.

Francor manages to escape and get back to his feet! Francor with the inside leg kick. Francor is looking to clinch. Horrible takedown attempt by Blankenship or perhaps it was just good defense by Francor, which made it look bad. Francor stuffs the takedown. Francor was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Francor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Blankenship chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Francor can pounce on him.
Francor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blankenship manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Blankenship is looking to counter the offense by Francor and move into the clinch.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Francor does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A head kick misses from Francor. Francor tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick from Francor lands but Blankenship takes it in his stride. Blankenship fails with the takedown. No luck for Blankenship with that takedown attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Francor tries a head kick but it misses.
Blankenship is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Francor.
Blankenship shoots in and gets a takedown into Francor's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Amit Francor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

As Francor tries to get set, Blankenship tries to push him back and clinch up but Francor manages to avoid the attempt. Blankenship is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Blankenship wants to clinch. Francor thows a leg kick but Blankenship checks it

This has been an exciting period of action! Blankenship looking to throw knees to the head but Francor is blocking nicely.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Blankenship is looking to clinch. Francor is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. The fighters circling - Francor throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Blankenship shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Blankenship is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Francor has managed to free his arm - good work. Amit Francor has got the better of the ground game so far. Blankenship wants to control but Francor is keeping him busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Francor wants to get back to his feet.
Jakobe Blankenship has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Amit Francor is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Francor is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
