Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Monty Konrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Celso Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos has chosen Linkin Park - Faint as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konrad fails with a takedown attempt.
Santos lands a glancing blow to the side of Konrad's head.

Konrad is trying to drag Santos to the mat but Santos just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Konrad might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Santos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Konrad swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Konrad is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Konrad had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Santos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Konrad Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Santos's back instead.

Konrad shoots in looking for a takedown. Santos tries to sprawl out of it but Konrad keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Santos. No joy for Konrad on that attempt.

Well Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
