Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xi Daerji (ranked 25041 p4p, 2389 weight class) and Jacob Legend (ranked 0 p4p, 244 weight class). Daerji has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Xi Daerji has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legend closes this distance looking for a takedown but Daerji circles away.
Legend dives in and grabs Daerji's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daerji pushes down on Legend's head and hops out.
Daerji moves into the clinch successfully.
Legend is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Daerji pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Xi Daerji has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Legend.
Daerji manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Legend is working for a kimura but Daerji is defending it quite comfortably.
Daerji knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Legend on the ground.
Legend has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Daerji defend it? Legend steps over the head and cranks it - Daerji is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Legend!
